This handmade cot mattress creates the perfect natural sleeping environment for your baby. The mattress is made from coir (husk of a coconut) from the only organic coir plantation in the world. It is a highly breathable fibre so that babies can easily regulate their temperature whilst they sleep and prevents them from over heating. Organic coir is naturally springy and offers excellent support. The mattress is wrapped in lambswool which acts as a soft tufting and is an excellent insulator and ventilator. The mattress is covered in a 100% cotton herringbone cover which is unbleached and undied and can be unzipped and washed at 60ºC to kill any bacteria. This mattress is non-allergenic and naturally fire-retardant (BS EN597, BS 7177), no harmful chemicals are used.

You can protect the mattress with the optional organic waterproof mattress protector. They come in 4 different sizes and are available with or without corner bands.

As an option you can also purchase to go with your mattress an organic unbleached cotton percale or an organic unbleached flannelette fitted or flat sheet. This will save you postage costs.
